The Men’s Group Rules Sheet

**All players must sign up at least 30 minutes before the groups first tee time. -----In person or by phone 330-433-1883

All players must have a GHIN Handicap. If a player does not have one, until it is established, they will play to 80% handicap for THAT DAYS score. For example, if a player shoots 80 they will receive 8 shots for the day.

All Guests will play to 80% handicap for THAT DAYS score.

All players must putt out for score. No Gimmes.

Players must be at least 70 years old to play the Black Tees. Handicap should be established from the Black Tees. If not, the player will loose four shots from his White Tee handicap.

Root Rule: If your ball comes to rest on or dangerously close to a root, the player gets a free drop at the nearest point of relief. Relief is NEAREST POINT, not club length. The root rule only covers ball / club placement, NOT STANCE. Line of flight MAY NOT BE IMPROVED.

Rain Policy: The match will be decided based on the number of holes completed by every team. If all teams have completed at least one hole on the side, there will be a match on that side. For example, if all teams complete at least the first hole, there will be a $10 match for the front side. If all teams complete the front and #10, there will be a Front–Back–Total match.

Negligence Rule: If a players ball comes to rest in a neglected sand trap, the player may ask for relief. If ALL of his playing partners agree, the player may rake the trap and drop the ball as close to the original spot.

We will be playing a four game rotation. If the group has 11 or less players, we will play Individual Stableford.

If there are 5 or less teams, one place on each side will be paid. If there are 6 –10 teams, two places will be paid on each side. If there are 11 or more teams, 3 places will be paid on each side.

If a player’s ball comes to rest on mulch, either flowerbeds or cart path, that player receives a free drop at the nearest point of relief.

Blinds will be chosen according to the day of the month corresponding to the order of sign up. For example on the 8th of the month, the eighth person to sign up will be the blind.
